- I am studying to be a primary school teacher, and work part-time in a call centre. During one call with a very old man, I was surprised to discover that my name was not what I thought it was. "Good afternoon, you're speaking with Lachlann." "What? What? Who is it?" "My name s Lachlann." "What? Lankwood? Speak up, boy." "No sir, Lachlann. My name is Lachlann." "Lankwood? Strange name. spell it, spell it phonetically." "...uh, Lemur, Alpha, Charlie - " "No, no Lankwood, Charlie doesn't stand for N!" And so Lankwood it is.
